“Father in Heaven, grant me strength through this trial. Yesterday, my house was broken into. My money, clothes, and food supplies are all gone,” said Amah Gien, holding back her tears.

How unfortunate for Amah Gien, an 85-year-old woman. Her humble and barely livable home was recently broken into by thieves. Adding insult to injury, her money, clothes, and even some food supplies were stolen by those with no sense of responsibility.. 

The money, which Amah had just borrowed from her neighbor to buy daily meals, was also stolen. To make matters worse, all the food gifted by her neighbors was taken as well, leaving her with nothing but rice and salt to eat.

Now, Amah must struggle alone. She lives all by herself, and her frail condition often leaves her vulnerable to illness. Because of this, she is no longer able to work and earn a living.

For 30 years, Amah Gien has lived all alone. She moves from one house to another, relying on the kindness of those willing to give her shelter. On top of that, her severe financial struggles often force her to survive on nothing more than rice and salt.

Fortunately, thanks to her dedication to serving at the church, Amah Gien occasionally receives rice donations from the congregation. However, this support is far from enough.
