As his mom, It’s hard to put into words the pain I feel as I watch my son, David, fight for every breath

David Ferdianto has been fighting in the NICU for approximately 58 days. He was born healthy, showing no signs of any abnormalities. However, at just 23 days old, in the early hours of the morning, we were shocked to find David suddenly bleeding from his mouth and nose without any prior symptoms.

My husband and I brought him to a hospital soon. The doctor dropped a bombshell when he diagnosed David’s heart has suffered acute damage, or he is facing a complex congenital heart defect.

At that moment, David had to undergo emergency surgery. Unfortunately, the procedure did not go well. Both his right and left diaphragms also had to be operated on, leaving David in a critical condition with oxygen saturation dropping below 50. Yet, no signs of improvement have emerged.

The doctors here have referred David to a hospital in another city with better facilities. This is necessary because, to this day, medical equipment must remain attached to his body 24/7 to keep him alive.

As parents, we naturally want to do everything possible for David’s well-being. However, we are aware of our financial limitations. My husband works as a bakery shopkeeper with a modest income. Meanwhile, the transportation and hospital costs in the larger city exceed $30,000.

To those reading this, I need your help to raise the first $10,000, then followed by the next $10,000, until we reach the targeted cost. David is just an innocent baby, and he deserves a chance to live and grow up like the other children.

Please, I beg you to help us give David the fighting chance he deserves. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to saving his life. If you cannot contribute financially, please share our story with others who might be able to help. My family and I will forever be grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thank you so much.
