Kimiko, a beautiful baby girl, is facing a life-threatening heart condition. Her tiny heart has four holes and a leak, causing her immense pain. Sadly, she was also born deaf and mute.
Kimiko needs urgent heart surgery and cochlear implants to have a chance at a normal life. Time is of the essence. Please help us give Kimiko the gift of hearing and the chance to grow up.
Not only does Kimiko face the danger of her heart failing at any moment, but she was also diagnosed as deaf and mute since birth. Hundreds of millions of rupiah are needed for a heart surgery and cochlear implant to save her life!
Kimiko is waiting for a miracle because, until now, even with her father working double jobs, it’s still not enough to cover her treatment costs…
The happiness felt by Peng Sun and Wan Ing when they welcomed their little angel was short-lived. Initially, Kimiko was born healthy and normal. Her sweet, adorable smile filled their home with joy.
However, everything changed when Kimiko was just 9 days old. Unlike other babies her age who grew stronger and healthier, Kimiko appeared frail, in pain, and her skin turned yellow...
When they finally brought her to the hospital, the results shattered their world. Kimiko was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect—her heart had a hole and leak measuring 4.2mm. To make matters worse, the doctor also confirmed that Kimiko had severe hearing loss.
Both of Kimiko’s ear nerves were damaged. She can only detect sounds above 115 decibels, equivalent to the roar of an airplane engine or thunderclaps!
Kimiko’s father, Pak Andrew, works as a chicken seller and an online taxi driver with inconsistent income. He struggles to save every rupiah to buy Kimiko a hearing aid. Meanwhile, Bu Desy works tirelessly, taking cake orders daily to fund Kimiko’s routine therapy and special diet. Kimiko’s fragile condition requires special food and drinks to prevent her health from worsening.
Unfortunately, their efforts are still far from enough. 3.2 years have passed, yet Kimiko remains unable to hear or speak a single word. The doctor said that a cochlear implant surgery is the only remaining solution to prevent Kimiko from living a lifetime of silence.
The family now faces an impossible challenge: the surgery costs at least 300 million rupiah—a sum not covered by government health insurance (BPJS). Even with both parents working double jobs, they cannot come close to raising this amount.
In their sorrow and desperation, Pak Andrew and Bu Desy can only pray for a miracle. They hope that kind-hearted people will step forward to save Kimiko—giving her a chance to live, hear, and speak for the very first time.
Your support can be the miracle this family is waiting for. Help Kimiko escape the silence and the pain of her broken heart.
