Syabil’s life took a tragic turn when he was just a toddler. A severe injury left him paralyzed, unable to move his limbs. As he grew older, it became clear that he would need constant care. Unfortunately, Syabil’s parents were unable to cope and eventually abandoned him.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! His mother disappeared, and his father moved far away to work, rarely sending money for Syabil’s needs. At his lowest point, Syabil found solace in his uncle, Mr. Muhyidin, who stepped up as his caregiver.
Despite being over 50 years old and having his own family to support, Mr. Muhyidin took on the responsibility of being Syabil’s “second father.”
Every morning and afternoon, Mr. Muhyidin carries Syabil to and from school, ensuring he has access to education.
“I couldn’t bear to let Syabil crawl on his knees. His legs are bruised, swollen, and scarred from dragging them across the ground. Outside, there’s dirt and stones—it’s too painful for him,” he said.
With only a modest income from working as a motorcycle taxi driver, Mr. Muhyidin struggles to provide for Syabil’s needs.
Therapy and medical treatment are out of reach financially, and even a wheelchair is a luxury he cannot afford. Despite the challenges, Mr. Muhyidin treats Syabil like his own child, determined to see him thrive despite the odds.
Syabil is an exceptional child, consistently ranking in the top five of his class. However, his physical condition and lack of therapy hinder his confidence and independence. The burden of caregiving and financial strain on Mr. Muhyidin grows heavier each day.
#KindSouls, let’s stand together to give Syabil and Mr. Muhyidin the support they deserve. Your contributions can provide Syabil with therapy, a wheelchair, and the resources he needs to pursue a brighter future. Together, we can ensure they no longer face these challenges alone.
