“I just sleep wherever I can find a spot, sir, usually right here on the street. From dawn until night, I work… but when I get home, it’s hard to sleep because I keep worrying about my kids’ future,” shared Pak Hilmin.

He works tirelessly as a vegetable vendor in the morning and an online motorbike driver in the evening to provide for his family. His 8-year-old son, Nafiz, suffers from cerebral palsy and needs ongoing medical treatment.
In the early hours, Mr. Hilmin sells vegetables. By afternoon, he switches to being an online driver. On quiet days, he earns around $2, and on busier ones, it’s $4.
“This motorbike belongs to my brother-in-law; he lets me borrow it. I don’t own much… Just earning enough for food is already a blessing,” he said.
Apart from Nafiz, who requires regular medical care, Mr. Hilmin also has a newborn baby. At just 4 months old, the baby’s needs are just as demanding as Nafiz’s medical expenses.
Mr. Hilmin works almost 24 hours a day, yet his income remains limited. He dreams of seeing both of his children grow up healthy and happy.
