For over two years, little Ziyan has been surviving with a medical tube attached to his nose. At just 3 years old, he’s fighting a tough battle against cerebral palsy and a severe lung infection.

His parents’ love knows no limits. When Ziyan was just five months old, he developed a high fever. His dad, Frengki, had only $10 to his name but refused to give up.
He rode his motorbike over 300 kilometers from Banyuwangi to a hospital in Surabaya to save his son. Since then, Ziyan has been receiving treatment at Surabaya.
Ziyan’s condition remains unstable, and he needs ongoing therapy and long-term care to stay alive. But his family is struggling.
Frengki works as a construction laborer, earning just $5 a day. While they have BPJS insurance, it doesn’t cover everything. Essential items like milk, medicine, and therapy cost over $80 every few days—far beyond what Frengki can afford.
“Ziyan is our first child after waiting so long for the blessing of parenthood. We were so happy when he came into our lives,” Frengki shared.
“But seeing him so sick and unresponsive… I’m scared I’ll fail to help him get better because my job just doesn’t pay enough for his treatments.”
