“After my father passed away and my mother fell sick, I had to fight alone,” said Suhaelan, with tears in his eyes. “Since then, I’ve been selling around the neighborhood to ease their burden. But now, my sales have slowed down, and I’m afraid I won’t be able to afford the medicine and end up losing everything.”
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! This is the painful reality that 11-year-old Suhaelan is facing. With his father gone and his mother unwell, Suhaelan has become the backbone of his family, struggling to provide for food, schooling, and his mother’s medical treatment.
Unlike most kids his age who can rest or play after school, Suhaelan immediately picks up his merchandise to continue selling.
He sells snacks for less than a dollar each, earning very little profit. And sometimes, his goods don’t even sell out.
With a smile on his face, Suhaelan offers his goods to anyone he meets. But beneath that smile is a worry he can’t hide.
The income from his sales is rarely enough for a proper meal, and on top of that, his mother’s health keeps getting worse. He also has outstanding school fees that need to be paid.
Let’s together help Suhaelan!
