Panji Syaputra, a newborn from Tasikmalaya, West Java, has only been in this world for 30 days, yet he is already facing a heartbreaking struggle. Born with Omphalocele, a rare condition where his internal organs, such as the intestines and liver, are outside his abdomen covered by a thin sac, every breath he takes is a painful fight.
To make things worse, his father abandoned him and his mother, Karmanah, at the moment they needed him most. Since birth, Panji has undergone multiple major surgeries to survive. But the battle is not his alone—his mother, a hardworking street vendor selling crackers, is doing everything she can despite overwhelming emotional and financial burdens.
Earning only Rp20,000 per day, Karmanah struggles to provide even the most basic necessities, let alone the costly medical treatments Panji desperately needs. With no choice but to care for him at home due to financial limitations, she can only take him to the nearest clinic when possible, despite the lack of proper medical facilities.
Through her tears, Karmanah shares her fears:
“I sell crackers from house to house, but what I earn is barely enough for food. I don’t know how I can afford my son’s surgery. All I can do now is pray for help.”
Little Panji’s survival depends on urgent medical treatment. Every donation, no matter how small, can bring hope and a chance for him to heal. Let’s stand together to ease Karmanah’s burden and help save Panji’s life.
