No one ever imagined that what should have been a joyful birth would turn into a heartbreaking struggle. Kiran suffers from 4 heart defects: Pulmonary Stenosis (narrowing of the blood flow from the right ventricle), Ventricular Septal Defect (a hole between the right and left ventricles), Right Ventricular Hypertrophy (thickening of the heart’s right ventricle muscle), and Overriding Aorta (the aorta is partially misaligned over the right ventricle).
Doctors emphasize that TOF must be taken seriously! Delays in treatment could be fatal.
“If treatment is delayed, the child could develop a brain abscess filled with pus (cerebritis). If that happens, surgery must first be performed on the brain to remove the pus before his heart can be repaired.”
But Kiran’s father, Mr. Pije, earns barely enough to get by. As a laborer, his wages only cover basic meals for the family. How many more sacks of palm fruit must he carry just to earn enough to save his son? His heart aches every time he sees his only child fainting over and over again.
Mrs. Rosa and Mr. Pije are devastated, watching their child suffer in pain. Their despair worsens knowing they cannot afford the costly hospital treatment Kiran urgently needs. Mr. Pije’s daily earnings as a market laborer are just a few dollars a day—far from the needed for Kiran’s thousands of dollars in medical bills!
Please, help Kiran…
