It all started with what seemed like a normal pregnancy. Despite being hospitalized in the second month due to a bladder condition, I felt confident that everything was fine. A cesarean section was performed, and Zio came into the world healthy. However, shadows of worry began to surface when I noticed a different response in Zio’s eyes at the age of 2 months.
I tried searching for answers on the internet, but my suspicions deepened. The spotlight in the changing room revealed a harsh truth: Zio was diagnosed with malignant tumors in both of his eyes. My heart shattered, but I knew, as a mother, I had to be a pillar of strength for Zio.
From CT scans to chemotherapy, every step was a struggle. Zio has become our little hero who never gives up, and as a mother, I vow to stand steadfastly by his side.
Due to this life-threatening illness, Zio’s growth and development have been hindered. His weight is only 7 kg! Sadly, during Zio’s malnutrition, we cannot afford to buy specialized medical milk.
My husband is just an electronic store employee, earning only $400 a month, which is not enough for Zio’s cancer treatment. Approximately $30,000 is needed for surgery and ongoing treatment.
