Muhammad Rhofiqy lost both of his parents to cancer at a young age—his father passed away when he was in kindergarten, and his mother when he had just started first grade. Now, he lives with his elderly grandmother, who struggles with poor health and makes a meager living by collecting wild fruits. Despite her frailty, she cares for Rhofiqy with deep love and devotion.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! To help ease their financial burden, Rhofiqy sells homemade ice pops after school, earning just $0.01 per piece sold. On a good day, he makes around $0.30, but when business is slow—especially during rainy days—he sometimes earns nothing at all. Yet, he remains grateful for whatever little he can contribute. Any extra earnings go towards his school needs, his grandmother’s medicine, and their daily survival.
His grandmother suffers from severe gout and breathing difficulties, often making it hard for her to walk without medication. With no parents left to turn to, Rhofiqy carries the weight of their survival on his small shoulders. He has an older sister, but she is married and unable to support them due to financial struggles of her own.
Despite the hardships, Rhofiqy refuses to give up. He deeply misses his parents, often breaking into tears when speaking about them. His only wish is to visit their graves and feel close to them once again.
Through all his struggles, Rhofiqy remains hopeful for a better future—one where he can continue his education and care for his grandmother without worry.
