Agus Should Be Enjoying School… But He Was Set on Fire by a Firework

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

Agus should’ve been enjoying his first year at school. But near the end of the year, tragedy struck—he was set on fire when a friend threw a firecracker at him. The fire ignited instantly. Agus screamed in pain as the flames engulfed his body. His face and chest were nearly melted. Without emergency surgery costing thousands of dollars, Agus may not survive…

That was the prayer echoing through the hospital ward as Setiawati watched her firstborn wrapped in thick medical bandages. Death loomed. The room felt almost sacred, with only the sound of the hospital monitor marking the fragile life of Putu Agus Setia…

The school supplies he’d picked out—new notebooks, socks, and a backpack—lay untouched at home. Everything changed in an instant. On what should’ve been a joyful day before the New Year, little Agus was severely burned while watching other kids play with fireworks. His chest caught fire, his skin blistered, and some internal organs nearly failed.

What’s worse, the family’s healthcare coverage refused to cover his treatment. His mother, Setiawati, who juggles being a housewife and a small-time street vendor, was devastated. Her husband works as a laborer, but their wages are barely enough for daily survival—let alone pay hospital bills in the thousands of dollars.

Now, through this fundraising effort, Setiawati hopes for a miracle to help her son survive.

Kind souls, please don’t wait to do good. You can help save Agus today.
