For over 10 years, Grandpa Sembang has spent every day from noon till night hoping someone would buy his bananas.

Even though his body is no longer as strong, he bravely pedals a bike carrying a load heavier than it should… with a spirit that refuses to give up.
Every single day, Grandpa Sembang rides 30 kilometers from village to city, pedaling with a sack of bananas weighing up to 20 kilograms.
His wife passed away over 20 years ago. For the last 10 years, he has dedicated his life to selling bananas—just so he can come home with something to feed his orphaned grandchild.
When asked why he still works so hard despite his old age, Grandpa Sembang answered with a smile:
“We live to be tested. Humans must work, because sustenance from God comes through the hands of others.” – Grandpa Sembang (85)
