Jonny Roy Kaparang, a 56-year-old father and humble stallkeeper from Manado, is currently unconscious in the ICU, fighting for his life after suffering a severe brain injury due to alcohol poisoning. On Christmas Eve, what began as a quiet night turned into a life-threatening emergency. After returning home, Jonny suddenly became unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital. He has not regained consciousness since.

Jonny’s wife, Meyzce, who sells homemade cakes to earn around $6 per month, and their two children are doing all they can to stay strong. The family initially had to take Jonny home because they couldn’t afford ICU care. Later, fearing for his life, they admitted him again to a better-equipped hospital where he remains on a ventilator.
