At 80 years old, Grandma Niti lives alone in a fragile home in Jember, East Java. Her life has become a quiet struggle—each day shaped by loneliness, poverty, and the physical limitations that come with age. With no children or family to look after her, she is entirely on her own. Her legs are too weak to carry her far, and she now relies on a walking stick to move around. Most of the time, she lies down, too tired or unwell to do anything else.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In her younger years, Grandma Niti worked hard to survive. She used to weave and sell bamboo baskets to earn a small income, walking long distances under the sun with a heavy load in her arms. But now, her body no longer has the strength. Without any income or pension, she depends solely on the kindness of neighbors—sometimes receiving food, other times going to bed hungry. On some days, her only meal might be plain rice or scraps. She lives without basic comforts, often in pain, and without access to medical care.
Despite all this, she never complains. Her quiet resilience speaks volumes. But behind her soft voice and gentle smile is a deep fatigue. At her age, she should be resting in comfort—not worrying about what she will eat tomorrow or how she will get through another night alone.
Today, we have a chance to be there for her. With your help, we can provide Grandma Niti with food, hygiene supplies, a proper bed, and access to healthcare. Your donation can ease her pain and bring warmth into her life. No one should face their final years in hunger or isolation.
#KindSouls, let’s stand with Grandma Niti. Let’s give her the love, care, and comfort she deserves. Because no one should be forgotten.
