Wiwit Winarti, a 28-year-old single mother, is battling a deadly facial cancer that has stolen her sight and her strength. After numerous referrals and tests, doctors confirmed it was malignant cancer. In August 2024, Wiwit underwent a major operation that left her disfigured and severely weakened. Since then, she’s been traveling back and forth to Surabaya for regular treatments—relying entirely on the kindness of donors, as her family cannot afford the mounting costs of basic needs like tissues, diapers, and transportation.
Despite everything, Wiwit still worries most about her daughter, Alika, who is only 6 years old and in kindergarten. Will Alika have a chance at a better future if her mother’s condition worsens?
