Brain Damage, Near Blindness, Half-Paralyzed: Aziz's Critical Condition and Mother's Struggle
Fundraiser
Siti Jabariyah is Aziz's mother

Aziz has been battling multiple severe health conditions since birth. A virus attacked his brain while still in the womb, leaving him with lifelong complications—cerebral palsy, hypothyroidism, microcephaly, and vision impairment. By the age of 1.5, he had already undergone two eye surgeries. Though he now wears glasses with a +16 prescription, his vision remains fragile, and further treatment is needed.

His mother, Siti Jabariyah, carries this fight on her shoulders alone. At just 25 years old, she juggles being a caregiver and sole breadwinner. Her husband refuses to work or help. To survive, Siti offers rides around the neighborhood and babysits local children, sometimes earning as little as $20–30 a month. On many days, she has no choice but to borrow money just to make ends meet.

For Aziz’s treatment, Siti travels  5 hours from their home to the hospital. Although Aziz is supposed to attend regular therapy to prevent further muscle stiffness and developmental delays, insurance doesn’t cover sessions out of town, and the local clinic declined to issue a referral. Out of options, Siti now teaches herself therapy techniques to help Aziz at home.

The hardest moment of all? When she had to pawn their only motorcycle just to afford his early medical checkups. And still, she never stopped moving forward.

“Even when doctors say he might never fully recover, I choose to believe in miracles. I just want to see my son walk one day.”

Siti is now seeking $5,000 to cover Aziz’s continued care—transportation, therapy at a private clinic, and essential medications not covered by insurance. She’s exhausted, but not broken. She believes Aziz deserves a chance at life, and she’s willing to do whatever it takes.
