Grandpa Tarjo has been battling aggressive facial cancer for eight years. He has exhausted all his belongings, and sadly, his wife and children have left him alone.

“Maybe this is for the best. I’m struggling to live on my own now. I don’t want to burden them since I’m not getting better,” Grandpa quietly says.

He lives in a small rented room filled with unused items. Unfortunately, he has not been able to pay rent for three months.

Now, Grandpa earns a living by offering weight measurement services—people pay him whatever they can. He uses a scale he already owns because he doesn’t have the capital to start a more promising business.

Besides the scale, he carries flyers advertising his “Weight Measurement Services.” Few people can understand his voice, as his lips and the roof of his mouth have been damaged by cancer.

No matter how far he walks to find customers, his earnings are never enough to meet even his daily needs. It’s heartbreaking to see him eating plain rice soaked in water just to make it easier to swallow.
