Ayunda’s liver is severely damaged—she’s already at stage 4. The doctor says she urgently needs a liver transplant to survive.

“My daughter should be resting in a hospital, but instead, she’s inhaling dust on the streets with me. What else can I do? I’ve run out of money for her treatment,” says Mrs. Titin.

With every step, Mrs. Titin clings to hope, one tissue packet at a time. Many times, drivers on motorcycles and cars reject her efforts, but she keeps going—determined to raise money for her daughter’s treatment.

Now, Ayunda, her beloved child, is showing alarming symptoms: yellowing skin all over her body and a bloated stomach caused by her failing liver.

“My heart breaks every time I see Ayunda weak and helpless. How did it come to this? She used to be such a cheerful and healthy child.”

Sometimes, Mrs. Titin stops selling and sits on the sidewalk, gently stroking Ayunda to comfort her from exhaustion.

At first, Mrs. Titin noticed Ayunda’s stomach was unusually swollen. After seeing a doctor, she had to face the painful truth: Ayunda has a serious liver condition. Now Ayunda can only eat and drink through an NGT (nasogastric tube) and requires special formula that’s very expensive.
