In the heart of nature, surrounded by forests and rivers, the Orang Asli — Indigenous communities of Peninsular Malaysia — are struggling to survive in collapsing homes. Their fragile shelters are made of rotting bamboo, rusted zinc roofs, and bare earth floors. There’s no electricity, no clean water, and no protection from the elements. Children sleep on worn-out mats, while parents lie awake at night, anxious every time it rains, knowing the leaking roof won’t keep their family dry.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! Some of these homes are barely standing, patched together with plastic sheets and rotten wood. Elderly folks and young children live in unsafe spaces that can hardly be called homes, quietly suffering with no one to turn to for help.
This campaign — “Rebuilding Safe Homes for Indigenous Families at Risk” — aims to provide weather-resistant, basic housing complete with proper roofs, toilets, and concrete flooring. More than shelter, this is about restoring dignity and offering hope to a marginalized community.
#KindSouls, your contribution, no matter how small, can help build not just a home, but a future. Together, let’s build hope, restore lives, and create change.
