While we enjoy life, there are others out there who are forced to endure hunger because they can’t afford food. While we spend time with our loved ones, there are those who are spending the last chapters of their lives alone.

This is the harsh reality for some people who live day to day, earning just enough for a single meal at a time.

One story we can learn from is that of Madam Rohani’s family. They used to live by the beach, forced to camp under makeshift cloth shelters. They endured the heat and rain with patience. Thanks to your generous support, Madam Rohani and her family are now able to rent a home. However, they still need help to send their children to school like other kids, and to continue paying for their rent

Then there’s the story of Grandma Enduk. At 69 years old, she lives alone in a rundown home, struggling with illness and frailty. Her only meals come from the kindness of neighbors. Many times, she goes hungry simply because she can’t afford to eat. No elderly person should have to live like this.
