Hello From Indonesia 

We are the Bakti Abdi Kasih Foundation, based in Bali, Indonesia. We represent GMIT’s Church.

GMIT (Masehi Injili Church) was a beautiful church in Batulesa Timor, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, the southernmost province of Indonesia. It has been three years since our church was destroyed by Seroja’s Storm in April 2021. During these years, 365 congregants have tried to rebuild the church but have faced financial difficulties.

Mr. Herson, one of the church ministers here, has given up most of his income for the church’s construction. He works as a farmer and pig breeder, earning only 31 USD per month. However, his contributions alone are not enough to cover the construction costs.

Other congregants have also donated their earnings to help with the reconstruction. Despite their efforts, they have only managed to build the pillars and foundation of the new church.

Currently, they continue to pray in the old church with its porous roof, which is very dangerous. They firmly believe that God will save them and bless their efforts to rebuild the church.

We hope that as a community, we can come together to raise funds to begin the process of rebuilding GMIT’s Church.

In addition to rebuilding, funds will help Father Don arrange interim facilities for services and support the choir in replacing instruments and music lost in the storm.
