At the age of 78, Grandpa Sarno lives a heartbreaking life—completely alone in a fragile shack, its wooden walls eaten away by termites. Every day, he walks from village to village offering shoe repair services, just to survive.

Out of sincerity, Grandpa Sarno now puts up a handwritten note:
“Shoe Repair – Pay As You Wish.”
When he can’t afford food, he eats salt. When his rice runs out, he borrows from a nearby shop and pays back when he can. Sometimes, he rests by the roadside—exhausted and struggling to breathe.
At night, he relies on candlelight. He can’t even afford electricity.
For over 20 years, Grandpa Sarno has carried this burden alone. All he wants now is to live out the rest of his days with peace, a decent meal, a safe home, and a little kindness.
