After waiting 6 and a half years for a child, Mr. Darmanto and Mrs. Masruroh now fight to save Ryuga’s life—while enduring cruel words from neighbors. At just 8 months old, after a severe seizure, Ryuga was diagnosed with four life-threatening conditions: three affecting his brain and one dangerously narrowing his airway. Treatment costs thousands of dollars, but his father is only a factory worker.

Ryuga slipped into a coma and was placed on a ventilator in the PICU. He was diagnosed with Spastic Cerebral Palsy, a lung-to-brain infection, fluid buildup in his brain, and severe airway narrowing. Even now, Ryuga can’t breathe or eat properly without medical help.

For almost 2 years, he’s been in and out of hospitals—up to 15 times a month. Ryuga survives on a feeding tube to avoid vomiting blood. His special meds cost up to $50 per dose. Each hospital trip costs $23, as public transport isn’t an option due to his fragile condition.

Their savings are gone. They’ve sold their wedding rings and motorcycle. With no more assets and his father’s low factory wages, they’re out of options.
