Alone, Putri struggled to provide for her kids — paying for school, rent, and food — all by herself. Things only got worse. She was scammed not once, but three times, losing over IDR 2 billion to business partners. Left with nothing, her health began to deteriorate from stress and exhaustion.
Later, she was promised another job, only to be deceived again. With nothing left, Putri and her children were left homeless. The kids dropped out of school. They survived on help from kind neighbors — sometimes only one plate of rice to share among five.
Then tragedy struck again — Putri collapsed. Her oxygen dropped to just 42. Her lips and hands turned blue. After being rushed to the hospital, doctors found that her heart was failing. With her pulmonary pressure dangerously high, she could not undergo surgery and was admitted to the Cardiovascular Care Unit (CVCU) for critical monitoring.
Nadya, the eldest daughter at just 17, now acts as her mother’s guardian — juggling hospital visits and caring for her younger siblings. She weeps in hospital stairwells, terrified that her mother might not survive — and her siblings will be left orphans.
Now, their family is at risk of losing both their mother and their home. They can’t afford medical bills. They can’t afford rent. They can’t even afford to eat. With nowhere else to turn, they are crying out for help.
