Every few weeks, 8-year-old Khoirus needs a blood transfusion just to survive. He was diagnosed with Beta Thalassemia Major, a rare and severe blood disorder that prevents his body from producing healthy red blood cells. Without constant transfusions and medical care, his life is at serious risk.

His father works tirelessly as a ride-hailing driver, but no matter how long the hours or how many jobs he takes, it’s never enough. The cost of treatment, medication, regular hospital visits, and blood transfusions is simply too much for the family to handle alone.

Sometimes, the father brings Khoirus along on his rides just to keep earning while caring for him.

Despite his fragile body and frequent fatigue, Khoirus holds on to hope. He dreams of one day becoming a hafidz of the Quran, and continues to study every day with his mother — believing that healing is possible, as long as he keeps going.

But the reality is heartbreaking: if his transfusions are delayed even by a day, serious complications could occur. The family has no savings left, and without urgent help, they fear for Khoirus’s future.

“We’ve tried everything we can,” his father says. “All we can do now is pray for kindness to reach our son.”
