I write this story as the wife of Mohd Sahar bin Hasan, my husband who is now 47 years old and currently facing one of the hardest health challenges in our family’s life.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! It all began in early May, when my husband started complaining of persistent chest pain and worsening shortness of breath day by day. At first, we thought it was just fatigue. But his condition kept deteriorating. Even the slightest movement caused him to cough, wheeze, and feel extreme exhaustion. To make things even harder, he had just lost his child who was also unwell.
Today, my husband can no longer do any work—not even lift light items. He is now bedridden and fully dependent on oxygen support and monitoring machines. Doctors are keeping a close watch and may refer him to Hospital Serdang for further treatment.
Since falling ill, our entire life has changed. Mohd Sahar can no longer work, and he used to be the sole breadwinner of the family. I now have to manage everything—taking care of him while also looking after our young children. It’s a heavy burden, but I stay strong for our family.
We’re now living with no stable income. Utility bills are piling up, and daily needs—food, medicine, basic supplies—have become an overwhelming burden. Watching my husband suffer every day, not knowing when or if he will recover, breaks my heart as his wife.
Our children are still very young. All I can do is try to comfort them when they ask, “Why can’t Daddy go to work anymore? Why is he just lying in bed?”
I write this story with tears and hope—hoping there are kind souls who will help lighten this burden. Every donation, no matter how small, will go towards my husband’s treatment and our daily needs during this critical time.
May Allah reward your kindness a thousandfold. Thank you for reading and for keeping us in your prayers. Your help is the light we need in this dark chapter of our lives.
