“Be strong… be strong…” whispered Siti Aisah (45), gently rocking her 7-year-old son, Alif, as he sobbed in her arms.

Her voice trembled—not just from the pain of hearing others mock her child, but from the fear and grief that had been gnawing at her heart.

It’s been four years since Siti lost her husband. She has raised both of her children alone, fighting to survive with what little she has. And now, she faces a terrifying new battle: a malignant tumor growing inside her mouth—getting larger by the day, causing her unbearable pain, making it difficult to eat, and attracting cruel stares and insults from those around her.

She pushes on—even if it means carrying Alif while selling snacks under pouring rain or scorching sun.

Right now, they’re staying in a relative’s home. But that, too, is temporary. They can be kicked out at any time, unable to contribute to rent.

“If we’re thrown out… I really don’t know where we’ll sleep,” Siti says quietly through tears.
