Anah, 60, Works Day and Night to Support Blind Husband and Disabled Son
Fundraiser
Sajiwa Foundation is a non government organization who help people in need

Every morning before the sun rises, she ties her worn scarf, grips her tools, and walks into the rice fields. The labor is heavy. Her body aches. But when the day ends, all she brings home is 3 kilograms of rice. No money. Just enough grain to keep her family from starving.

She doesn’t eat right away. First, she scoops warm rice into two plates. One for her husband, Ayat, who can no longer see… and one for her son, Jaenudin, who hasn’t walked since he was a baby.

Only after they’ve eaten, if there’s anything left, she sits down quietly and takes what remains. If not, she endures the hunger silently.

By late afternoon, she doesn’t rest. She repacks her strength and prepares 30 packs of potato crackers to sell. She walks nearly two kilometers to the main road. For every packet sold, she earns just a few coins. Some nights she returns with nothing but aching legs and empty hands.

Ayat, her husband, lost his sight three years ago when dust from a passing truck entered his eyes. She sold their sheep and everything they had to pay for surgery. But it wasn’t enough. Now he sits quietly, waiting for healing that never came and relying only on herbal leaves she gathers when she can.

Jaenudin, her son, is 36 now. He crawls to move, his knees always bruised, his head scarred from falling. He cannot walk. He cannot speak. So she massages him every night with tired hands and whispered prayers.

$KindSOuls, will you help this mother carry the weight of her world? Even a small gift can bring warmth to their cold nights, food to their empty table, and strength to a mother who’s holding on for her children.
