“This body is old, but if I don’t sell, who will feed my family?” – Grandpa Ahmid, 80
At an age when most people are resting and enjoying their twilight years, Grandpa Ahmid still works tirelessly. Every day, he pushes his shaved ice cart through narrow alleys and from village to village. His back is bent, his sandals are worn thin, and his strength is fading—but he never gives up.
Earning only around $2 a day—if his goods sell—Grandpa struggles to afford food and basic needs for his family. Lately, heavy rains have kept buyers away. His ice melts in vain, and some days he returns home empty-handed, enduring hunger at night.
Seeing Grandpa’s struggle is truly heartbreaking—a grandfather who should be cared for and loved, yet still bears such a heavy burden.
Through this campaign, we invite #GoodPeople to come together and help lighten Grandpa Ahmid’s load. Donations will be used for daily needs, medical expenses, and hopefully to allow him to stop selling in his frail condition.
Let’s give him the dignified old age he deserves.
