Panic! That was what his family felt when they were told that Mr. Aziz’s heart had stopped. The ICU turned chaotic as doctors worked tirelessly to save him. His lungs would not expand even after receiving oxygen, forcing the doctors to make an incision in his neck to drain trapped water and blood. Thankfully, Mr. Aziz regained consciousness — but his condition had changed drastically from before.

Just when they thought the worst was over, Mr. Aziz’s heart stopped again. After CPR, the doctors managed to save him, but he was left permanently paralysed. The smile and laughter he once had were gone. Now, he lies motionless on a thin mattress, without any expression.

It all began with what seemed like extreme fatigue. Mr. Aziz was later diagnosed with asthma and rushed to the hospital after experiencing shortness of breath and oxygen deficiency. From that moment, his chest felt like it was being stabbed, his breathing became laboured, and he came close to death. Now, the man who once worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and children can no longer move, leaving his family in shock. Many thoughts raced through their minds, but they knew they had to stay strong — for a husband and father they love dearly.

I am Izzat from Pertubuhan Amal dan Sukarelawan Anak Kedah (PASAK), and I have taken the initiative to launch this campaign to help Mr. Aziz and his family. We were informed that his medical expenses continue to increase over time. Just the ambulance cost alone reaches RM1,000 a month, not to mention the expensive milk, daily care, and specialised equipment such as a suction machine, wheelchair, and more.

Through this campaign, we and Mr. Aziz’s family hope to raise enough funds to support his life in his final years. May your contributions help ease the pain and hardship endured by Mr. Aziz and his loved ones.
