Brain Damage & Paralysis: Help Zahra Recover!
Fundraiser
Ratiningsih is Zahra's mother

Arisha Azzahra is only 4 years old, but since birth her life has been filled with hospital visits, surgeries, and endless pain. She was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus while still in her mother’s womb and later with Cerebral Palsy (GMFCS V) — the most severe stage of the condition.

Arisha has undergone three brain surgeries (VP Shunt) to drain excess fluid from her head, but her condition remains critical. She suffers from frequent seizures, cannot sit without being held, and spends her days lying down. Her head has grown abnormally large, and every small movement requires her mother’s support.

Her father works as a daily farm laborer, earning very little, while her mother tries to sell fried snacks when she can. The family has no stable income and lives in her grandparents’ house. Despite having BPJS insurance, many of Arisha’s urgent needs are not covered — including special milk, diapers, medications, and transport costs for the long 59 km journey to the hospital.

The family has already sold valuable belongings and borrowed money to keep Arisha alive. Yet, the burden is overwhelming. Arisha’s treatment and medical needs are estimated at USD 9,200 — far beyond what her parents can afford.

Her mother shares, “I only pray that Arisha is given a long life, good health, and a chance to recover. Maybe it seems impossible, but I believe if Allah wills it, everything is possible.”

Today, little Arisha urgently needs our support. Your kindness can help her continue her treatments, relieve her pain, and give her a chance to live with comfort.
