Despite being born without a full leg and having only one arm, 45-year-old Ridwan refuses to give up. He left his hometown and moved to the city to sell prayer guides and Qur’ans, not for himself but to support his children’s education back home.
Each day, Ridwan earns only around $2. Yet, he continues to push through the pain and exhaustion, praying that his small income will be enough to feed himself and send even a little money — about $6–$9 per week — to his wife and children.
There are days when he breaks down, questioning why life is so hard for someone like him. But no matter how heavy the struggle feels, Ridwan never lets despair win. When there are no customers, he spends his quiet hours listening to religious talks and softly reciting verses from the Qur’an, finding strength and comfort in his faith.
Ridwan dreams of one day seeing his children graduate and live a life far better than his own. But right now, even getting through each day feels like a battle.
Please #KindSouls, will you help lighten Ridwan’s burden? Your kindness can bring hope back into his days and strength to keep going. Even the smallest act of giving can mean everything to him.
