Four-year-old Dathan should be running and playing like other children his age. Instead, he spends his days lying weakly in his mother’s arms, crying in pain from a malignant tumor growing in his eye.
It all began when Dathan was just two years old. His mother noticed that his eye was turning white and slowly swelling. When she rushed him to the clinic, doctors immediately referred him to a hospital, where her worst fear came true — Dathan was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor.
Now, each time he cries, blood seeps from the corner of his eye, and his mother can only hold him tightly, whispering prayers while trying to hide her tears. The tumor has grown so large that it covers part of his face, often causing burning pain and unbearable itching. Doctors say surgery is the only hope to stop the tumor from spreading and save his future.
But life has not been kind to this small family. Six months ago, Dathan’s father passed away from illness, leaving his mother to care for him alone. She cannot work because Dathan needs constant attention. They now rely solely on Dathan’s grandfather, a daily farm laborer earning just enough to survive.
Please #KindSouls, Dathan’s journey to recovery is long and full of risks, and his mother cannot do this alone. Your donation, no matter how small, can help cover his treatment and give this little boy the chance to smile again.
