Muhammad Arash Zulkarnain is only 1 year and 6 months old, yet he has been fighting a life-threatening heart condition since before he was born. During a detailed pregnancy scan, doctors discovered serious abnormalities in his heart. After birth, Arash was diagnosed with Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and Pulmonary Stenosis (PS)—two holes in his heart and a dangerously narrowed valve, making every heartbeat a struggle for his tiny body.
As Arash grows, his condition prevents him from living like other toddlers. When he becomes too active, his lips and fingernails turn blue, a sign that his body is not getting enough oxygen. He tires easily, falls sick often, and needs frequent medical check-ups and careful monitoring. Even a mild infection can be dangerous for him. To care for Arash full-time, his mother had to stop working, leaving the family to survive on a single, limited income.
Arash urgently needs heart surgery to close the holes in his heart and correct the narrowed artery, with an estimated cost of RM12,500. Without this surgery, his condition could worsen and put his life at serious risk.
#KindSouls, your support can help Arash breathe easier, grow stronger, and experience a childhood without constant pain and fear. Every contribution brings hope to a tiny heart fighting for its next beat.
