SLEEPING ON THE STREETS AND NOT RETURNING HOME has become a harsh reality for 75-year-old Grandpa Ocim in his old age. Not because he wants to, but because he has two orphaned grandchildren depending on him.
For 30 years, he has been selling banana flowers, relying on the kindness of people who allow him to take them for free before selling them in the city.
Every day, he pushes his simple cart for miles, but fewer and fewer people are buying. On a good day, he sells only 3-5 banana blossoms, earning just 40 cents each. Because of this, he often sleeps outside, refusing to go home until his goods are sold.
#KindPeople, let’s come together to ease Grandpa Ocim’s burden and help him support his family.
