Alwien Zikran is a 4-year-old boy from a humble farming family who is now fighting for his life after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma—a condition so rare that it affects only 1 in 244,000 children.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! His father, Hendra, works as a farm laborer earning just $2 a day. At first, they thought Alwien only had a toothache. But the swelling in his mouth kept getting worse. Soon, Alwien could no longer eat, drink, or even speak due to the pain. When they finally reached the hospital, doctors discovered a large cancerous tumor growing aggressively inside his mouth. It had spread rapidly and become severely infected, leaving Alwien in constant agony.
Now, his mouth is almost completely blocked by the swelling. He’s lost weight, has become weak, and needs emergency surgery and continuous chemotherapy to survive. But the cost of this life-saving treatment is around $9,300—an amount far beyond what his family can afford.
Making things worse, other children have started to avoid Alwien because of the changes to his face. He’s bullied and isolated, while his parents feel powerless to protect him. Hendra is doing everything he can, but even getting loans or help from others has led nowhere.
Their only hope now is the kindness of strangers. Through this crowdfunding campaign, they are pleading for help to save Alwien’s life—before it’s too late.
