Amier Syahmi bin Kd Azlan is only 15 years old.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! At an age meant for laughter with friends, playing sports, and chasing dreams, Amier is now facing a life-threatening reality — a disease that usually affects men over 50: Stage 3 Kidney Cancer.
It all began without warning.
On July 9, 2024, Amier started passing blood in his urine. There was no pain, no other symptoms. But the bleeding didn’t stop. He began making frequent trips to the health clinic. Then on September 12, blood tests revealed his hemoglobin levels were dangerously low — only 8 (normal for teens is 13 and above).
Finally, on November 4, a nephrologist gave a shocking diagnosis: Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) — kidney cancer.
This type of cancer is extremely rare in children. In fact, the doctor treating Amier said he is the first patient under 18 diagnosed with RCC in his entire career.
On November 15, Amier underwent multiple procedures — CT scans, ultrasounds, and thorough assessments.
By November 19, he had to undergo emergency surgery to remove one of his kidneys.
That day, a part of his body — and a piece of his childhood — was taken away in exchange for a chance at survival.
