Born with an uncommon condition, baby Atar has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome—a genetic disorder that affects both physical and mental development.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! His name is baby Atar, just 30 days old. Atar was born with Down Syndrome, and during birth, he accidentally inhaled amniotic fluid, causing breathing complications. Because of this, he had to be placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to monitor his respiratory condition.
Doctors explained that inhaling amniotic fluid can potentially affect other organs. Since Atar is less than a month old, this condition is extremely sensitive. Doctors need to conduct a full examination of all his organs to ensure there are no further complications.
To get these tests done, Atar’s parents need a large amount of money, as Atar must be referred to Jakarta for more thorough examination and treatment.
“It’s not that I don’t want to take my son to the hospital,” said Tedi, Atar’s father. “But I have no money for transportation, let alone to live in a city where everything is expensive. I’m lost. If I do nothing, I’m afraid something terrible will happen to my child.”
Tedi works delivering water gallons, earning just $4 a day—which isn’t even enough for daily needs, let alone the high cost of medical treatment in the city. He has already sold his most valuable possession—his wife’s dowry—for extra funds, but even that is far from enough.
Will you help Mr. Tedi raise the money he needs to save his baby boy?
