At just a few months old, little Wan Putra Annas Habibi has already faced more pain than most people will ever know.

It all began when doctors at the local clinic suspected he might have Thalassemia, a blood disorder that causes his blood levels to remain dangerously low. Since then, Annas has had to undergo monthly blood tests to monitor his condition.

But that’s not all. His tiny body is also covered in recurring painful sores that refuse to heal. No matter how many treatments his mother tries, the sores keep coming back — and each time, the pain brings tears to both mother and child.
