For many blind Christians living in remote villages of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, reading the Bible is still a distant dream. Not because they lack faith but because they lack access.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! Most of them have never owned a Braille Bible. Without it, they rely on others to read aloud or listen to audio sermons, which are not always available. Yet their desire to grow spiritually and connect deeply with God’s word remains strong.
Evangelist Andreas, who dedicates his life to serving the visually impaired community, travels from village to village to minister and pray with them. He brings hope, comfort, and Scripture — even to those who’ve never read a single verse on their own.
Among them are Devi (24) and Ortisan (13), two blind Christians who were born without sight. They love learning about their faith, but often feel isolated from the rest of the church community. “Sometimes they’re ashamed to join Sunday service because they can’t see like the others,” their family shares. “But if they had a Braille Bible, I believe they’d feel more confident and included.”
Most of these believers work humble jobs — as masseurs, buskers, or roadside vendors. They earn very little, yet they hold onto their faith with inspiring strength.
#KindSouls, let’s help make God’s word accessible to every heart. Your support can provide Braille Bibles for blind Christians in underserved regions — empowering them to grow in faith and feel seen, heard, and loved.
