“For years we’ve worshipped under a tarp, but what if we can’t finish the roof by the end of this year? I worry it might collapse one day during service and hurt the congregation,” said Pastor Meri with deep concern.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Located in a village, this is the only church for 100 local worshippers. For 9 years, this unfinished and fragile building has been their place of worship—roofless, weathered, and far from safe. Financial limitations have halted construction time and time again.
Every Sunday, and during major celebrations like Christmas and Easter, the congregation gathers under a plastic tarp. Rain often pours through, soaking everyone to the bone—but they continue their worship with unwavering faith and spirit.
Pastor Meri shared how parts of the building have started to decay due to constant rain. The front wall is crumbling, and broken window panes let in harsh wind. But the villagers—mostly farmers and labourers—can’t afford more. Weekly offerings simply aren’t enough to build the sturdy church they dream of.
Dear friends , let’s stand with this community in faith. Help them worship again in a safe and proper House of God by sharing your kindness and blessings today.
