Many of these children are still very young—some are even just babies. But they’ve already been forced to fight for their lives due to severe chronic illnesses. One of them is little Resilla, just 3 years old, who suffered horrific burns after her own father poured acid on her.

The emergency room was filled with screams and cries as Resilla’s skin melted away. Her head and face were severely burned—she lost her ears and nearly lost her eyelids too. Her lips are destroyed, and doctors say she needs multiple surgeries. Her mother, a humble food seller earning just $3/day, is struggling to afford her care.

Another heartbreaking story is of 9-year-old Peti, born with a digestive disorder. Her intestines have protruded outside her body for years. She was supposed to undergo a follow-up surgery, but the cost of daily colostomy bags alone is far beyond what her parents can afford—they work odd jobs just to survive.

Peti’s intestines are now wrapped in plastic and taped to her belly, as her family has no other option. The risk of infection grows every day, putting her life in constant danger. And sadly, Peti and Resilla are not alone—there are many more children out there suffering the same fate, waiting for a miracle.
