Every day is a fight for 9-year-old Dean Maisarah. She cannot walk, talk, or move on her own. Since birth, Dean has been bedridden, living with microcephaly, spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, and epilepsy. Even the simplest acts such as breathing, sitting up, or turning in bed require constant care.
Her mother, alone after divorce, is her entire world. She has sacrificed everything to care for Dean, giving up work outside the home and tending to her every need around the clock. She makes ends meet by selling cakes and sandwiches from home, but the cost of Dean’s care is far beyond what she can manage.
Dean faces life-threatening seizures, rigid muscles, and a growing risk of organ failure because she cannot move freely. Hospital visits, physiotherapy, specialized equipment, medication, and diapers are all essential and expensive. Without help, her condition could worsen.
Despite these challenges, Dean and her mother hold onto hope. Every day, small moments such as a gentle touch, a careful feeding, or a safe night’s sleep matter immensely.
#KindSouls, your support can provide Dean Maisarah with a specialized wheelchair, a supportive mattress, life-saving medication, and ongoing therapy. Every contribution brings comfort, care, and hope to both Dean and her mother and gives her the chance to live more safely and with dignity.
