During the sixth month of pregnancy, Feodora was declared to have suffered cardiac arrest. However, with determination and perseverance, she was born, weighing only 1.8 kg, classified as a low birth weight baby.
However, at just four months old, she was struck by severe diarrhea, which led to a serious intestinal infection.
Her condition continued to deteriorate, and by the age of 11 months, her weight had dropped to just 3.5 kg, significantly below the normal range for her age. The situation became even more critical when doctors confirmed that Feodora needed intensive care at the hospital to have a chance at survival.
His father works as a laborer in a coconut processing factory. This income is far from enough to cover Feodora’s treatment. Additionally, they need extra funds for the journey from Minahasa to Jakarta.
Mrs. Gisela, who was actively involved in Sunday school teaching, had to step away from her role to fully focus on caring for Feodora. This has been a difficult time for the family, who are already accustomed to living a modest life.
Now, the family is hoping for support from kind-hearted individuals who can help give Feodora a chance to receive the medical care she urgently needs and improve her quality of life.
