Almost every day Kezia needs a blood transfusion to survive
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! This story is about my 6-year-old daughter, called Kezia Sasha Fariadi. She was born as a healthy, strong, and cheerful baby. We never thought that inside her body, there were deadly RARE BLOOD DISORDERS and we found it when she was 6 months old.
At that time, Kezia’s condition suddenly deteriorated. Initially, the doctor diagnosed her with anemia and recommended a simple blood transfusion. However, even after the transfusion, her red blood cell count remained low. After several tests, it was finally revealed that Kezia was suffering from a rare blood disorder called thalassemia, compounded by an enlarged spleen and extensive red blood cell damage.
Of course, as a mom, it broke my heart so much. Every time I see Kezia get a blood transfusion, I feel what she feels. Kezia has to get a routine blood transfusion to survive, even though it is dangerous for her body because of iron overload.
The doctor said that Kezia would need to undergo spleen removal surgery, but a more effective solution would be a bone marrow transplant at the age of six. However, the cost of the transplant exceeds more than $200,000! My husband and I simply don’t have that kind of money.
Kezia has been fighting her illness for approximately six years. To this day, there is still no clear solution, and Kezia continues to battle for her health in hopes of growing up like other normal children.
During this situation, I beg your support and kindness to help Kezia fight her illness by either donating or spreading the word among your friends and family. Every single contribution will be a strength and hope for Kezia to continue her treatment and back to her brightful life.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
