Unfortunately, his items frequently remain unsold because there may be no customers for 3-5 days at a time. On average, Akong’s income is only 1 SGD per day. With that amount of money, he can only afford a packet of rice without any side dishes to eat three times a day.
Now, he lives in a small shop. No kitchen, no bathroom, no bedroom—just a tiny room for sleeping and selling his items. If he needs to use the bathroom, he must go to the nearest river.
