She should be resting. But for this 71-year-old mother, life has never offered that luxury. Every day, she walks to nearby homes, carrying heavy laundry. Not for extra income, but simply to survive.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! She’s not alone. At home, three of her adult children wait for her. All of them were born with severe mental disabilities. None of them can speak clearly. None of them can live independently. And all of them rely on her for every meal, every bath, and every moment of care.
Her husband passed away many years ago. Since then, she has been a one-woman army — mother, father, caregiver, and breadwinner.
“My children don’t understand hunger,” she says quietly. “But I do. So I never let them go without food, even if I have to go hungry myself.”
Despite her age, her hands remain rough and blistered from hand-washing piles of clothes. She only earns enough to buy basic food. Just rice and instant noodles most days. There’s no money left for adult diapers, vitamins, or proper care supplies.
Some days, she cries in silence — not out of weakness, but out of fear. “What will happen to them when I’m gone?”
This campaign exists because she still gets up every morning, refusing to give up. But she shouldn’t have to carry this burden alone anymore.
#KindSouls, let’s stand by her. Let’s help her give her children the care and dignity they deserve while she still can.
