Ongki never imagined his daughter’s life would change so drastically. Aatifa, his 3-year-old daughter, was once an active and cheerful child with no signs of illness. But after undergoing heart surgery for a congenital defect, her condition took a heartbreaking turn.

Post-surgery, Aatifa experienced severe bleeding from her surgical wound and fell into a coma for two weeks. A brain scan revealed that her brain had been deprived of oxygen, damaging her nervous system. To help her breathe, doctors had to perform a tracheostomy, creating an opening in her neck to insert a breathing tube.

The sudden change devastated her family. Ongki, Aatifa’s father, sold everything he owned—including their beloved TV—to cover her medical costs. Now, Aatifa needs to be referred to Jakarta for further treatment, but the family has run out of funds and has no relatives there to help.
