Five-year-old Fariq has never known a day of peace. Since birth, he’s been battling three severe brain conditions that have caused his head to swell abnormally due to fluid buildup — damaging his nerves and threatening his life. He urgently needs multiple surgeries and long-term treatment, but his parents simply can’t afford the overwhelming costs.

When Fariq was born, Mr. Supriyadi and Mrs. Yuni were filled with joy. But that joy turned into fear when they noticed something was wrong — Fariq was constantly sick, with fevers spiking up to 41°C. At just 5 months old, he suffered a severe seizure that left his tiny body stiff and blue. It was the beginning of a heartbreaking journey.

Fariq has been admitted to the ICU five times and treated in three different hospitals. Doctors discovered extensive nerve damage and hydrocephalus — a condition where fluid builds up in the brain, causing his head to enlarge and triggering repeated seizures, sometimes lasting up to 10 minutes.

Mrs. Yuni stays by his side, constantly fearing the next emergency, while Mr. Supriyadi, a daily wage construction laborer, struggles to even provide for their basic needs. The cost of surgery and lifelong treatment is far beyond what they can manage.

Desperate to save his son, Mr. Supriyadi has tried everything — odd jobs, loans, and seeking help — but so far, nothing has been enough. Every delay in treatment brings Fariq closer to danger. All they have left now is hope — and the kindness of people like you.
